Seasons Over

Well Shawn's football team was the First Sophomore team to go Undefeated at Riverton. They played Hunter High school. From the First Kick Return to the last hit where a kid from Hunter suffered a concussion Riverton thumped them hard, real hard. It has been exciting video taping the boys and going back and editing the tape to make a highlight video for them. Hopefully next year I can get some different software to help me with the editing.

Catch up

It's been forever since I wrote in our blog last. The whole family is doing well except Shawn because of the broken leg. He's been a trooper though. He's still going to practice everyday and supporting his team. Kelly has been struggling with her school stuff. Val and I are trying to help her hte best we can but there needs to be more effort from her. A.J. is still doing his soccer during the week. He had to goals last week. The last one he made won the game for them. Rylie comes home everyday from school and is excited about her homework and trying to read. She's always writing her letters and numbers. Peyton is our little happy girl. Jordyn is sleeping better and is constantly smiling at everyone, especially A.J. Val seems to be enjoying her job and Quiznos and myself well it's the same old Merit just a different day.

Well our computer has been down for a couple of days because the hard drive went on out us so we had to call the place and they sent us a new hard drive yesterday and just got it today. That's why you haven't seen anything and Val's blog. Shawn's team killed Copperhills 42-0. The real test will be when they play Bingham in 2 weeks.

Shawn's team once again destroyed another team. It was a pretty close game at the beginning because it was a sloppy game but in the second half Riverton turned it on. He seemed like Riverton would run 1 play and score and then Jordan would have the ball and punt it back to Riverton would score off 1 play. It was crazy. Val and some of the kids are going to be going to a tail gating party tonight at the church house. A.J's got a game so him and I will be late for the party. Val is having a good time working at Quiznos. Kelly is going through that teenage thing. She rarely is out of her room. Rylie is just one of those free spirits and Peyton doesn't like that Val is working. Every time she comes home from work Val can't leave her sight. Jordyn is just being Jordyn just smiling away.

We had a good weekend. Val hosted a baby shower that 4 people showed up for. So she was a little mad about that. Than she went to a birthday party with the kids at bouncing off the walls. Shawn's football team slaughtered Hillcrest and A.J's team lost in the last seconds of his game by a goal. The Indoor soccer team that I play on beat our team 7-2. We went over to mom's house for dinner. She made her chicken noodle soup with bow tie noodles and her home made rolls and Cinnamon rolls, and boy was it tasty.

Shawn had a good football game last week. His team won 46-14. A.J. had a soccer game on Friday and his team won like 10-2. I've been riding my bike to work and so gar have lost 5lbs, yea. I have been feeling pretty bad late with a bad stomach. Val is liking her job at Quiznos. Starting next week she will work the night shift which will be good.

First game under belt

Shawn got his first taste if high school football today. He didn't get to really play that much. He was mad because when he got in on a kick return after half time they did an on sides kick. He was yelling and being made because he wanted an opportunity to return the ball. He got in most of the 4th quarter and played mostly defense and some offense. I honestly can say that Shawn today probably got more playing time today than I did in all 3 years at playing at Skyline. I'm looking forward to a four day weekend because I have tomorrow off. I have and indoor soccer game on Saturday at 6:10 down in Lindon
